I figured it out! It’s threads. That’s the app I was referring to. Instagram gives me like posts to view & all this time I thought it was X. I now have two posts, because I reposted something and through that realized the app name & the fact I’ve two posts now. Silly me 🤦🏽‍♀️

Up until, right now, I thought my X account only had one post, and all my twitter posts had archived. And now, all my stuff is here.. Will it go away? Is it here to stay? Who knows…what I do know is that my only one post account gave me zero wants to post. Too much pressure 💯

Lemme tell you how easy it is to create life long bad memories for your kids. The other day a conversation about lipstick with my toddler reminded me how easy it is to cause damage to these little beings.

Imagine this. Back during the vibrant and highly energized years of your twenties, you woke up one morning, bounded out of bed-as you always did-and made your way to the bathroom. As you walk in, you turn your head for the obligatory “first glance of the day” look in the mirror. As your eyes take in the reflection, your heart stops-or feels like it-and you feel as though all of the blood has instantly drained from the upper half of your body, and pooled in your legs. What you are looking at isn’t you. Well, it is….but then again…it’s most definitely not. Your skin is weathered, wrinkled and saggy. Your hair is no longer thick and full, with a gorgeous shine. The hair you see in the mirror is thin, wispy, and a dull white. Your eyes have a cloudy look. Your teeth, no longer a bright white; they are yellowed and some are missing. You’re stooped, and at least a full two inches shorter. You dash into the hallway (and you can still “dash” because you don’t FEEL like the ninety year old person in the mirror) and find another mirror. To your horror, you see the same ninety year old human being, looking back at you. With your head spinning, you go back to your room, and collapse on your unmade bed. “My God! Do I have to go through the rest of my life, looking like someone….I’m not?! In the following days, weeks and months, you discover there is a medical solution. It’s not instant, but it will result in you looking like you feel. You will finally feel like yourself again. As though life is out to get you, however, you soon find that no physician will treat you. Many of them want to, but…they won’t. Republican politicians have passed legislation to prevent them from doing so. You’ll just have to accept that the rest of your life will be spent, walking around feeling much different than you look. So much different, that you can already see a time in the future where you might contemplate taking your own life. This is what many citizens of this great country are experiencing, now. They want to look like they feel. That’s it. Republicans don’t want them to look like they feel. They want them to spend the rest of their life feeling like they are trapped in a body that isn’t a match. I’m a straight male. I don’t “get” the transgender experience. I don’t. But….I don’t need to. I already look like I feel. It’s easy to tell people who don’t look like they feel, “No! We won’t let you!!” when YOU already look like you feel. Too easy. If you already look like you feel, you shouldn’t have a voice when it comes to what those who don’t….can do. Not in this country. #transgender #genderaffirming
