I don’t think you can say he was “resisting arrest” bc there is no effort to actually arrest him or say “you are under arrest.” The agent shoved a woman to the ground, he helped her out and was sprayed, thrown to the ground and beaten. The natural human response is to try to cover your face and protect your body as you’re being assaulted. Interpreting that body movement as “resisting arrest” is too much of a leap. The agents escalated the situation repeatedly and then used their own escalation as reason to kill him.

You can't execute someone for resisting arrest. And in any case, the whole "he was violently resisting" narrative skips over the fact that the guy had been pepper sprayed multiple times in the face, and was undoubtedly moving around because his face was on fire.

@Operator166 @JamesSurowiecki Pretti was shot 10 times in a public street where 7 officers approached him and escalated the situation, after he had been pepper sprayed and was being physically restrained and beaten by several of them. To say the two are comparable is fundamentally dishonest

@Operator166 @JamesSurowiecki Babbit was shot one time by an officer who ordered her not to enter a secured area of the capitol building as she and a crowd of armed rioters descended on outnumbered officers who physically could not restrain people individually. And-

Holy shit. He was filming. He went over to help a lady that ICE shoved down. Agents engaged him. His hands were on the pavement when he was shot. He never had his hand on a weapon. Cold blooded murder.
