🚨 The Chinese Communists have just TICKETED the Fox News crew, using their abundance of surveillance cameras placed around Beijing! BRET BAIER: "There are literally cameras everywhere...they see everything...our driver parked illegally for 2 MINUTES and got a ticket for $40!" "Because they saw it, on the camera." This is Communism! It's what the Democrats want.

After 39 minutes on hold I have got through to HMRC to talk about erroneous interest charge on my self assesement. I can hear a baby in the background. After she spent 22 mins investigating, I was advised to write in as she couldn't help. This is simply not good enough.

The honest guide to getting ahead as a young person in the UK in my opinion. Nobody teaches you this. → Max your employer pension match. Instant 100% return. Day one. → Open a LISA. Government hands you £1,000/year for free. → Open a Stocks & Shares ISA. Zero tax on gains. Forever. → Job hop every 2-3 years. Loyalty costs you £100,000s over a career. → Invest every pay rise before your lifestyle finds it. → Learn about money. Nobody is coming to do it for you. The UK system is stacked against young people on housing and wages. But the tax wrappers? ISA. LISA. SIPP. Genuinely world class. The 18 year old who does all of this retires in a completely different world to everyone who didn't.

@afneil Yes the UK is bizzare. Rishi Sunak had to leave exactly at the point economy was on the Up with inflation etc down, growth up. Same now with Starmer gdp up. Maybe the public requires holding back.

Not getting enough attention amid the Starmer soap opera: UK economy had strong start to the year: 0.6% growth in Q1. Month on month 0.3% in March alone. The UK economy is developing a habit of strong growth in Q1 then petering out. Look at last year. And 2024. Good chance this could happen again, especially with the baleful impact of Trump’s War on the global economy. Even so, 0.6% in Q1 is impressive.

@AlexDaviesJones You are weak. Blaming others. The Council Elections should not be used as an interim test for National Level issues. Otherwise the term would effectively be two years only.

@SophyRidgeSky It's personality politics driven by the media. You know that Andy Burnham or any other person is not likely to be able to change things very quickly. The govt system is hard to shift.

Keir Starmer’s resignation entitlements:💰 • Ministerial severance (PM role): £18,860 one-off lump sum • MP salary (Holborn & St Pancras): continues at £98,599 • Public Duty Costs Allowance: up to £115,000/year for life (office/staff, reimbursed on actuals) + 10% extra for staff pensions • Parliamentary/ministerial pension: from full MP + ministerial service Plus special tax-unregistered CPS/DPP pension (2008–2013, created via secondary legislation): accrued £336,000 in benefits by 2013 (on £200k salary). Doesn’t count toward Lifetime Allowance cap (avoids 55% tax on savings over £1.07m) He's laughing all the way to the bank 🏦 💰 #Starmer #KeirStarmer #UKPolitics #Labour

@LeeHarris The trend is each new PM is worse than the one before. So the next one will probs last 1 year tops. Honestly Sunak was good, should have stuck with him.

I can't begin to tell you how satisfying it is that Keir Starmer is going to get booted out in disgrace after only 22 months. Boris was PM for just over 3 years. Absolutely delicious.
