@DaddyWarpig I would say that the F-35 can loiter, monitor, and prosecute just fine. It's got better sensors. The issue is that the A10 can likely do parts of it better and cheaper.

Apparently, the Persian Gulf is providing a real-time test of the notion that the A-10 is so imprecise that it couldn't hit the broad side of Utah. They're hunting and killing speedboats in the Gulf, which means they most certainly can hunt and kill tanks. This loitering, monitoring, and prosecuting mission is something the F-35 certainly can't do, while the Warthog can. We’ve reached a point where so few people know a veteran or active service member that that there is zero desire to understand what real sacrifice looks like. Everytime a financial podcast drops with a veteran on it, people rush to scream “fraud.” But, according to the VA Office of the Inspector General, the fraud rate with disability claims is less than 1%. There are a multitude of conditions that are not physically visible: Traumatic Brain Injury, burn pit exposure, PTSD, gastrointestinal issues, etc that veterans deal with every day. America just came out of the longest war in our history. Medical testing has gotten better. Documentation of medical issues has gotten better. You can’t ask America’s sons and daughters to go to war, and then turn your back on them when it’s time to take care of them.

Looks like we have lost our first navy F35 to enemy action. after being hit it made it back to a land base and the pilot is in the hospital. waiting for more information.
