@hankrsmith Thank you @hankrsmith It really is about choosing to become like Him rather than earning a spot in heaven through blind obedience.

This is a good question—one that deserves a few books, but I’ll attempt a short answer: The entire gospel hinges on a man who died, came back to life, will never die again, and can move through space at will. If we’re dealing with Him, it’s no surprise that much of what surrounds Him will defy easy explanation. We should expect his work to be anomalous. God’s end goal isn’t just obedience—it’s children who freely choose His life. He doesn’t want people who simply do what’s right; He wants people who choose to do what’s right. In that sense, agency becomes as critical as life itself. I don’t think there will ever be overwhelming, undeniable evidence for God’s existence, Jesus’ divinity, the Restoration, the Book of Mormon, or the Book of Abraham. There’s enough compelling evidence for rational people to believe—and equally compelling evidence for others not to. That balance (Lehi would say “opposition”) preserves our ability to choose. Let’s imagine we found every scrap of papyri and it matched Joseph’s translation exactly. Or we have the gold plates in the Church History Museum and using the Rosetta Stone, we find Joseph’s translation is perfect. Would that prove he was a prophet? For many, yes—but wouldn’t that compel belief rather than invite choice? And if belief is compelled, does that really move us closer to God’s goal of freely chosen discipleship? The moment I’m forced to choose His life, I stop becoming like Him—because He isn’t compelled. He freely chooses His life, and becoming like Him means doing the same. To me, the text itself is the point. What happens when I engage with it? Am I inspired to change? To become more like God? If so, I’ve used my agency to grow—exactly what He’s after.

@CurtisMorley @TaniaAMarshall Guilt has been misunderstood for decades. It is actually based in empathy and compassion making it a much higher frequency than shame. Also, another name for the highest frequency emotion is authenticity.

@TaniaAMarshall Tania, would you be open to seeing things slightly different with a couple of the emotions listed? Specifically Guilt, and Enlightenment?

✨Every emotion you have is equivalent to a frequency HZ. An emotion is energy in motion. 20 hz is shame and the lowest frequency. Fear is an extremely low frequency. 200 hz is the bare minimum frequency. What is yours? Yes, you can intentionally raise your frequency✨💫🌟

The Maine Event. I just finished attending church in all fifty states. The Portland, Maine Ward has ten missionaries - a Senior Couple and companionships who speak English, French, Portuguese and Spanish. Such a nice congregation - like so many other I’ve visited Matthew 18:30 😇
