Today Penguin Press announced my new book, Off Ramp: How to Be a Peacemaker in an Age of Contempt. I’ve been working on this project for a few years. It’s about something I think a lot of us feel. We’re losing the ability to disagree without seeing each other as enemies. There has to be a better way, and this book is my attempt to find it. It isn’t easy. And I don’t always get it right. Today I officially filed for re-election to continue serving in the United States House of Representatives. Katrina and a few of our grandkids came with me when I went in to file, and we were grateful to have the support of our kids as well. Seeing my family behind me is a reminder of exactly why this fight matters. The future we leave to our kids and grandkids is on the line, and it’s worth standing up and sacrificing to protect. From the beginning, my goal has been simple: make Washington smaller and Utah stronger. Cut back the nonsense, deliver tax relief for families, make life more affordable, continue securing our border, strengthen American energy, and defend the freedoms and values that make our country the greatest nation on earth. I’m grateful for the support so many of you have already shown our campaign. As we head into the next steps, I look forward to earning the support of voters across Utah’s Fourth Congressional District and continuing this fight for Utah and our country. #utpol
