@Abomination81 I assume u have a physical setup at home. for the people without that, would you recommend a particular host vps? specifically for polymarket or should i start building something at home if i wanted to commit long term?

How to use AI to Backtest Accurately Ok, this is a simplified version. I know most people are not recording months of info, so youre kind of stuck not being able to backtest accurately. Where AI fails is when it has to "guess" or use proxies, or extrapolate. God bless AI, its a ruthless optimist. So here is the secret. You cannot backtest anything that requires trading mid window. BUT you can backtest edge and buying in a direction. For example 2 tests. 1 is impossible with AI without a recorder. 2. is possible and simple #1 If I want to test the idea, of placing a GTC bid on both sides at 50c, and when one gets filled, putting a stop loss 5c less. The theory being if I pick the right side, I get 1 dollar, if I lose, I lose the 5c hedge. So many issues. You must model order book depth at strike on both sides, you must have the exact movement by 10ms increments to see when you trigger the stop loss. You need the order book to model slippage etc. Ai would say this is a genius idea. (its not). #2 I want to use a signal (binance, coinbase, mean reversion, previous candles etc), to bet on up/down at window open. This is 100% back testable with no recordings. Ai Just needs to know strike and close price, and see the previous windows signal. IE if you're betting binance going up will win more than it going down. You can test this and it will be extremely accurate. There is good news and bad news. Good News. Most real bots are simple and you can use #2 to test. Id say 90% of all bots thtat exist. Bad News. The most profitable bots require #1 to test. You must record, no short cut. But this is a way for people to get accurate results right now.

PSA: Scams... copybots, trading bots, backtesters oh my.. At best, they suck, at worst they steal your wallet and crypto. 1. Copybots: At best, they are well meaning but wrong, at worst.. satan. A. Well meaning. You cannot copy a good strategy. Market makers, scalpers, snipers, 1% edges amplified, inner market arb models... there are 100's of reasons. The main one is latency. When you see a trade on polymarket, that is after it was recorded on the tx record on the blockchain, that takes time. By the time its recorded... 2-4 seconds has passsed. Now this bot watches for it, copies it, sends it back to you, then you place a bid, wait for polymarket to get it... 5 seconds later. B. Satan. They are just stealing your shit 2. Trading Bots: These are pure sketch. I've tested a few on Github, all are scams. Polymarket already builds free bots in python and rust. You can build off of those. The other bots fall into a few categories. A. Pure evil. They get your keys, steal your shit. Simple. This one is being promoted right now on x x.com/recogard/statu… t.co/s2xHlTjVXd it straight up steals your keys. B. Lesser Evil. They send back your strategy, hoping to find some idiot savant that made a good one and copy it. C. Useless. Very few of these. 3. Backtesters: Same issue. Most are just shitty. They get free api's from Binance, coinbase, polymarket. And give you the same shit you get from your AI. Junk. Even worse, some steal your strategies trying to use them. Moral of the story. ITs all a scam. Do not download SHIT except from the polymarket Github
