9 books gone. I smell free golf

It goes by so fast! 1/3 of the season is in the books. Here's a recap as we say goodbye to June.... Approx steps walked - 1,040,000 Approx active cals burned - 67,000 Weight lost - 22 lbs Hole in ones - 0, but within a foot of 3 of them Most impressive player - 81 year old who played green tees and walked Irish course in 3.5 hours Honorable mention - Player who was smoking drives more than 350 yards. Seriously. Something I hate admitting - SEC fans are just fun to caddie for Most fun bet between players of season - $100 for longest drive on 18 (first few holes of the loop just didn't predict the great time we ended up having) Largest bet of season - Dude won a skin for what he described as "not much" - $4k 😂 Number of hot dogs/brats - Sticking to goal of one a week New steadfast firmly held belief - PB&J should be a part of all turn windows Favorite post-loop splurge - A weekend Ribeye from Texas Roadhouse with the boys Most difficult conditions - 105 heat index with two bags beats the discomfort of windchill in the 30s/high winds/driving rain Most steps in one day - 38,500 Number of free golf rounds redeemed so far by book promo winners - 4 Most difficult part of job - Navigating unrealistic expectations of players Most unrealistic of those expectations - Thinking they'll make high percentage of putts outside 15 feet Surprising positive trend - Most loops being finished under suggested pace of play If planning a visit - Try and play Straits first, not last. Gotta be fresh for it. Too many groups have been wiped out this year. Famous people looped for so far - 0, and I'm just fine with that. Prefer y'all Number of loops I haven't enjoyed - 2 Red flag for caddies at bag drop - Big groups arriving in matching Ryder Cup outfits Pet peeve this year - Telling a player a ball is 100% gone and having them stare at woods or creek for two minutes before conceding to reality Clubs thrown - 3 Number of times throwing clubs has helped - 0 Health - Hips are killing me, but grateful to still be able to do this Thoughts starting to churn for future - Envisioning life as a caddie master somewhere, God willing Storm delays - I've been lucky to miss them Most purchased drink - Spotted Cow Favorite hole this season - 13 on Straits Hardest hole to caddie this season - 16 on Straits Absolute truth - There is always a next shot!
