A few months ago I bought contracts that would be Khamenei out of office by April 1st. This morning, Kalshi changed the rules to exclude death as a possible outcome. lol, lesson learned - have withdrawn everything from Kalshi and will never use them again.

The issue in both scenarios is if the public doesn't trust that insider trading is banned than they won't want to participate at all. Any one case of insider trading provides useful info, but if it is norm than over all info is lost.

The results of the Norwegian school election have just been published. This is a mock election held at Norwegian secondary schools, with voters being age ~16-19. I have mapped out the results, which show the right-wing parties doing much better than among the general electorate.

@ArmandDoma I don't think this is actually true, though I can't tell for sure. Russia/Belarus/DPRK were excluded from their very haphazard graphic, but nothing in the text of the EO seems to exclude them.

Conservatives spent the last few weeks blaming the fIres on DEI but I think a better political point for them to have made is that water scarcity in the west is bad and a solution to it is building nuclear desalination plants that provide clean energy and freshwater
