In physics, hysteresis is the dependence of a system on its history rather than exclusively its cause/effect relationship.
Hysteresis as a pure physical phenomena can be defined as a memory effect within a procedure where internal resistance lags behind the external forces applied, it means that the output doesn’t just depends on the current input value but also on its past outputs creating a provoked momentum memory*.
The dynamics and the input set the boundaries, but history picks the path inside those boundaries.
The phenomenon is widely observed in a variety of fields like mechanics, magnetism, thermodynamics, electronics and even in economy.
