@CroesusApprent1 @LSilly53492 @_tea_leeves @KirstiMiller30 It is right! If you read anything about how genocides are conducted, you would know that
English

@splffrchrd @LSilly53492 @_tea_leeves @KirstiMiller30 ….right.
Not desiring a dude with a cock to compete with women is not the same as a group of people systemically being killed.
English

There have been 13 Olympics that have allowed trans women to compete in the female category if they meet the hormonal and physical requirements of the trans sports policy. The results over 13 Olympic games suggests trans women massively underperform in elite womens sports.
Since the IOC has created a rule for trans athletes to compete in 2003, over 81,000 people have become Olympians. Out of those 81,000 Olympians a total of 2 have been trans women & one came dead last the other came 37th out of 42.
There isn’t a single trans or intersex woman dominating her sport. Even Caster Semenya, the most famous, & most successful, intersex woman athlete doesn’t “dominate” her sport. Caster has won a total of two Olympic golds medals & holds no world records.
By contrast, Katie Ledecky has won a total of 9 Olympic gold medals and has broken 19 world records since 2013.
Why is Katie Ledecky treated like a marvel, and Caster Semenya and transgender women are treated like mutants?
There currently exists no evidence to suggest that trans women who elect to suppress testosterone (through, for example, gender affirming hormone therapy and/or surgical gonad removal) maintain disproportionate advantages over c_swomen indefinitely.
More specifically, current evidence suggests any physical performance advantages trans women do not fall outside the range observed among XX women after 2 years of testosterone suppression.

When you consider everything they did to silence Riley, you realize why so many women & girls still fear speaking up. It also deepens your respect for those that bravely do it anyway, regardless of the price. And there’s always price.

@CroesusApprent1 @LSilly53492 @_tea_leeves @KirstiMiller30 genocides don't begin with millions dead, they begin with normalising the public to the othering of a certain demographic
English

@splffrchrd @LSilly53492 @_tea_leeves @KirstiMiller30 In what fantasy world?
People actually get killed in the millions. How are you seriously comparing yourself to this?
English

@CroesusApprent1 @LSilly53492 @_tea_leeves @KirstiMiller30 interestingly, reading about actual genocides is the reason why people have come to this conclusion
English

@LSilly53492 @_tea_leeves @KirstiMiller30 Preparation of genocide….this is a performance.
Go read about actual genocides please. It’s insane comparing something to where people are systematically killed by the millions….its crazy
English

@splffrchrd @havecankles @Hoopss I honestly don't think so, but if that's how you feel I guess this is a good natural conclusion for this discussion.

@tranz_schubert you are this website's greatest truth nuker, truly

for every quote tweet with a cute pic and a success story there are two hundred and fifty psychologically damaging failed oomfuationships that their participants, having travelled back home and come to their senses, have vowed to never mention again

@DiscipleOf24070 @nikola270179 @jjpcodes @mmjukic The USSR was never the arbiters of what socialist construction should look like. They did their own thing, China did theirs. Marxism adapts to the material conditions of a given country, it's never going to be the same in two countries with wildly different material conditions
English

@nikola270179 @jjpcodes @mmjukic Deng was a heavy revisionist at the very least. What he did with the country would have been completely unacceptable in the USSR. He also greatly reduced the power of unions as part of his reforms.

97% price reduction? 16% deflation year over year on durable consumer goods? We should put the people who make plasma TVs in charge of the government. That means we need to elect the *opens book* wait a second *flips pages* oh no *sweating profusely* oh no no no not like that

saila@sailaunderscore
A plasma TV 20 years ago cost $10,000 or ~15,000 2026 dollars. This means a deflation rate of roughly 97% or 16% year over year.
