Turning 65 is one of those milestones that leads you to consider what your life has been so far and what you expect from the future. Every year brings new physical challenges but (knock on wood) nothing that I can’t handle. I’m fortunate to have caught the fitness bug early enough that, coupled with a solid inflammation-minimizing nutrition plan, I’ve been able to defer a lot of the usual age-related limitations. The past year brought the first visible signs of progress in the development of Nikki Beach Resort & Spa Antigua, the biggest project I’ve (yet) embarked upon in my life. Waiting to see this rise from Jolly Harbour’s white sand beach is reason enough to get out of bed every morning. I’m still enamoured with technology and its potential to make peoples’ lives better. I can’t wait for AI to deliver cures for ailments that have frustrated medicine for centuries. And I continue to believe that people will one day wake to the realization that Bitcoin (the real Bitcoin, BSV) was meant for (and is capable of) more than financial speculation. I’ve been blessed with family I love and great friends who have stood with me through thick and thin. I’ve been a thrill-seeker my whole life but sometimes the greatest moments come from just having drinks on a patio with people you’ve been through the trenches with. I’m currently on an extended holiday that takes me back to some familiar haunts I’ve come to love but also some new spots I’ve always wanted to explore. These new options might prove underwhelming but they might also be awesome. Taking that chance is the only way to find out. I haven’t lived a quiet life and I don’t plan to go quietly. I plan to suck ALL the marrow out of this bone and then use it as a drumstick at my next rave. I’m going to get all my kicks on the route to 66.
