Sports Card Rant : Anyone else hate the “chase packs” on Ebay, Mercari, and other selling sites? “you have a 1 in 99 chance to get this card”. Stupid Good take or does this make me sound like a boomer who’s hating on people hustling in the the sports card realm?

Shipping question for private card sellers, what’s the cheapest way to ship low-end cards? I’ve been using $1.30 non-machinable stamps, but that kills margins on $3 shipped cards. Mercari PWE is only ~74¢ and cards still arrive fine. What are you guys using? @CardPurchaser

For those who sell on eBay, whatnot , CollX or any other platform. What’s some advice you can give to the new sellers ? It can be anything a tip , trick or shortcut . Anything you find helpful!

@tm1515152005 Cardshellz is a great company and brand to buy from their Armalopes are the best envelopes i’ve used Team bags can be a good investment and nice gesture even for low amount cards shipped in PWE communicate well with buyer / seller put any damage on cards in description

@clarkknowsball @tm1515152005 I’ve done this before on Ebay and Mercari. Never had an issue with either I’ve been successful both team lots and specific player lots If you have a lot of parallels or rookies you could consider selling those together as a lot as well DM if you have any questions

@tm1515152005 If I’m looking to sell lots. Any suggestions? I’ve only ever sold singles on EBay but don’t want to list a bunch of $2 cards for a player. So thought about doing 5-10 card lots of same player

Hobby people - With the increase of shipping price, has this deterred any of from you buying and or selling expensive cards / bulk lots online or has this been a non factor for most of you? Retweets and opinions appreciated! @CardPurchaser

@ol_trevmeister @CardPurchaser I’ve heard that too. I’ve had an experience with a damaged package that was missing a card a few years ago. It really sucks that that happens and people are that greedy. Have you ever had any issues with UPS or Fedex shipping or receiving cards?

@spmurphy2019 @CardPurchaser Add in something I learned today- I had a package ripped open and looted while in usps transit. Called their OIG today to file a report and casually asked the guy if he hears this a lot. He paused and said “all the time”
