@jodie_rhianon Tbh being a hgv driver and having speed cameras / authorities around makes the roads safer for both the hgvs and the other road users. They are stop drivers being reckless and endangering everyone else. So if you want to keep your licence then and not get fined, be responsible

British people may be divided, grumpy and rude to one another in day to day life, but spot a mobile speed camera van, and suddenly we all pull together and have each others backs. Humanity is an absolute hoot. 😂

@CheshireEast can you please send a clean up team to the woods and park at Artle Road in crewe. The brook has shopping trollies, fallen trees and debris blocking the water flow etc. It's getting dangerous for dogs etc going in the water. Already had a vets bill last year

@goneforaburton @DVLAgovuk Ev's use the road to and cause wear and tear mate same as any other vehicle. Those drivers should pay tax to as the government subs the council to repair them. Ev's do produce emissions to from the electricity that's used to charge them

Difference is combustion has a tail pipe, electric tail pipe is at the power station. The power grid couldn't handle 100% electric needed. I'll be driving while your plugged in

Electric cars actually quicker than petrol / diesel and better for the environment- the batteries can be recycled Eating less meat is scientifically proven to be better for you and you can choose quality meat less often As renewables increase and replace gas then electricity prices will decrease What’s not to like ?

@StaffsRCT Can you get police to monitor various roadworks on the motorway. Drivers are lane hogging causing a massive bottleneck. There travelling at anything from 30 mph to 45 mph. Just coz it says 50 mph as a speed limit doesn't mean they have the right to lane hog

We have continued with #OpSaferLanes lanes today stopping multiple drivers for Lane Hogging & Tailgating offences. Most drivers will be eligible to recieve educational courses aimed at improving their driving. The others will recieve points & a fine. #OpLightning #Team4RCT

Driver if this 44t HGV decided to straight line this junc in Stone ignoring the keep left bollards. Despite his ability to take racing lines he failed to spot the marked police BMW that had been following him for 2 miles. We also identified the load was insecure. #oplightning

@Sarahmang @DVLAgovuk Ev's produce co2 and waste indirectly. The power stations produce co2 and even nuclear produce uranium waste. The batteries go straight to landfill so either way it's shifting the problem.

@Kian00110941 @Sarahmang @DVLAgovuk When the electricity grid goes off line and you got a full tank of fuel you will still be able to get around. Ev's won't. I got a ford ranger so I can get to work but need the space as I'm a truck driver. I can still get to my family in any weather and it's self sufficient.

@Sarahmang @DVLAgovuk Ev cars still produce emissions and wear out the roads same as combustion engines. Only difference is the electricity produced to charge the Ev sends Co into the atmosphere instead of the tail pipe. Oh and the lithium batteries go straight to landfill so is more damaging.

#RPU stopped the BMW 330e today, known for being efficient on the fuel it seemed they were equally frugal with the insurance…. A tad cheeky to be ‘looking for the certificate’ when they were actually insuring it… papers issued!

@StaffsRCT The cost of living isn't help, insurance companies are out of control, road tax is going up and up. The wages are not matching the cost of living. The government needs to do something about it and fast before there's no going back

M6 J13 to J14 3 vehicles stopped separately with the space of 5 minutes of each other. All have no insurance and no licences. Also the van had defects #PG9. #oplightening
