Today, Fran spent more time in Springfield to ensure that local schools and family-serving agencies have the support they need to serve the community. A few of today's stops included visits to Help Me Grow, St. Vincent De Paul, PRC Clark County, and Kenwood Elementary, where students and staff visited with @OSHP's therapy dog, Hope.

I’m hosting a town hall in Springfield, OH at 6:30pm on Thursday (details below). We’re inviting diverse voices from the local community, including Haitian immigrants. I don’t really blame the people of Springfield, either the locals or migrants, for what’s happening. I blame the awful federal policies that callously used these migrants as political pawns to sow division by transporting them to a community everyone knew was unprepared to handle them. It’s sad to see this happening just one hour from where I live, but the first step to reuniting America starts with open dialogue.
