Judge Robinson (now retired, courtroom next to Judge Norieka's) said that the jury had unanimity on 2 of 3 asserted patents, deadlocked on the third, she couldn't accept a partial verdict in the absence of consent, and declared a mistrial.

@steve_vladeck The Fort Worth Division is 45% O'Connor, 45% Pittman, and 10% Means. But I think if federal forum is appropriate you could bring a case in, say, the Dallas division, where you could get one of 9 judges in approximately equal weights with some exceptions. txnd.uscourts.gov/sites/default/…

Just to be clear, I *don't* read these terms to mean that every case will end up before Judge O'Connor, specifically. The only place in the Northern District where you're guaranteed to draw O'Connor is Wichita Falls. Elsewhere in the district, you could draw other judges.

This is such bullshit. Judge O'Connor sua sponte raised DEI as a problem with the Boeing plea deal, while disingenuously attributing the concern in part to the victims who *never once* in their briefing and myriad objections raised DEI as even a potential issue.
