I'm glad that the artists and translators can put this in their resume or portfolio but this isn't a fan translation or novel anymore. It's a paid one and a product so they shouldn't be the front facing people or who the fans or community go to if there are issues

I've always wondered ??? why are the artists and translators for 7seas novels public facing. Why is 7s allowing them to answer questions or issues on novels that aren't theirs? Essentially the translated novel is more 7seas than theirs so 7s should face the questions more

@nyanjiudiet Tried learning french at first then I got pissed and gave up when oranges (?) had genders and then it happened again in Spanish. It was a huge barrier for learning for me bec the Spanish loan words we use like Mesa or la mesa has no indication of gender or which gender can use it

Nah. It was actually harder for me to learn Spanish and other latin languages like French because they have gendered nouns and gender for everything. Completely unlike how in Tagalog, a lot of words or nouns are just gender neutral

@VegapunkThinker @redbtkn I don't think having Spanish loan words means the languages in PH being closer to Spanish. There's also the structure to consider. In my experience it's easier to understand indo and malaysian in bits than Spanish altogether

Extremely wrong. Philippine lanvuages are completely distant from Spanish and is more simolar to languages in Indonesia and Malaysia. Indonesia and Malaysia, however, have national lingua francas that are dialects of a single language. PS. Burmese is a Sino-Tibetan language.
