Political banners account for majority of illegal displays in Mumbai
timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/mumbai/po…
Are they required to pay any fees to BMC for such display. If not, then the public should start displaying banners about what they expect from the Govt and elected representatives

@richapintoi All the residential accommodation to all the elected representatives should be provided in extended Suburbs, Navi Mumbai, to make them feel the pinch.

If elected representative with official driver, comfortable AC facility, no accountability, no need for punctuality can grumble like this, imagine the fate / ordeal of the regular office goers, depending on public utility services? To Whom they will complain?

Mumbai deputy mayor and Eknath Shinde led Shiv Sena corporator Sanjay Ghadi has written to municipal commissioner seeking allotment of a vacant civic bungalow inside the Veermata Jijabai Bhosale Udyan premises in Byculla, citing the long commute from his residence in Dahisar and the need to attend official meetings on time.
In a letter addressed to the commissioner, Ghadi said his daily travel between Dahisar (East) and the BMC headquarters at South Mumbai consumes considerable time and is frequently delayed by traffic congestion. He said the commute causes “mental and physical distress” and affects his ability to reach the civic headquarters on time for administrative meetings, seminars, public interactions and other official programmes.

While BMC appeals to residents to save water, they continue to water plants when it's raining. Brilliant @mybmc @AshwiniBhide @TawdeRitu

@VishalBhargava5 Fully agree. Under redevelopment, maximum floors permitted should be 10 only

The next step BMC Commissioner should take is to halt all approvals for new construction projects until we have a plan for water. Otherwise next year may be worse.
Mumbai is on a construction spree that masquerades as "transformation" but is actually "madness."

BMC secured additional reserve water due to weak monsoon concerns and says Mumbai's current supply can last until August 17. "Rising population and growing demand are putting pressure on water resources," BMC chief Ashwini Bhide said. Commercial establishments face higher water cuts, though major business disruption is not expected. If the monsoon remains weak, BMC may introduce earlier water cuts and stricter restrictions on non-essential water use next season. ✍🏻: @Eeshanpriya

@rushikesh_agre_ God is very kind and will ensure that required rain will be there everywhere. May be late but needful will be blessed. Wake up call for Governments. Govt should put a stop for high raised buildings.More concrete jungle more danger for environment. Cities like Mumbai will perish
