.@CherryVentures raised €500M with one goal: Back Europe's first trillion-dollar company. Their bet? It might not be another AI model. @chrismeermi, Founding Partner of Cherry Ventures explains: "AI is very energy-hungry. All these data centers need lots of energy, and that needs to come from somewhere." So Cherry backed @proximafusion, a fusion energy company. The logic is simple: If AI is the future, energy production is the bottleneck. They're also backing @QantGmbH, making photonic chips that work with light instead of electricity. Much more efficient. Sometimes the biggest outcome might not be the most obvious one.

This is exactly the problem. You can't take the "move fast and break things" mentality of Silicon Valley into the federal government, a place where if you break things, people die, or have their rights violated, or can't access essential services.
