Yann LeCun says you cannot build a reliable agentic system without a world model LLMs don't have world models. They can't predict the consequences of their actions before taking them "they just act, and whatever happens next is someone else's problem" Without that, it's not intelligence

@fbinegotiator Elicitation. To successfully use this people need to be comfortable with designed silence at the end of the statement. Incredibly powerful.

Asking direct questions can shut people down. A simple observation can get them to reveal more, and if you do ask, use how and what questions to keep it non accusatory.

I personally don’t like their coffee. With that said. He shouldn’t have to defend a $90 cup of coffee let alone a $9 cup. If someone is willing to pay that, then they should be allowed serve that customer at whatever rate. If people don’t want to pay $9 for a coffee, then they can find a cheaper alternative.

Starbucks CEO defends a cup of coffee costing $9 He says the customers needs to just not think about it as a $9 cup of coffee, you’re paying for the “experience” of getting a Starbucks coffee “In some cases a $9 experience does feel like you're splurging, and then what that means is we have to make it worthwhile.” He says Starbucks customers “want to have a special experience and regardless of what your income level is, in some cases, a $9 experience does feel like you're splurging — well, this is a really affordable premium experience” How out of touch could a person possibly be…

Include me in this same head space. Unless humans are removed from the equation entirely, I’m having a hard time grasping how humans, who not only like predictability, but they cognitively rely on it for sound decision making, will be able to be productive without some level of interface consistency.

"They'll talk to an agent. The agent will generate whatever interface they need on the fly." Task assistance and automation from agents aside, I'm seeing this very loose idea increasingly thrown around, but I'm struggling to think of a single use case where I'd want this or even what might even be produced based on apps I currently frequent. @grok what am I missing?

@bearlyai @TrungTPhan I have always said that blaming PowerPoint for bad presentations was like blaming forks for the obesity crisis. AI hasn’t corrected the problem, it simply super-sized the fork.

McKinsey presentation design lead says every consultant using ChatGPT or Claude to make decks. Already seeing “fingerprints” of AI-created decks. Says “problem was never really design to begin with”. The real skill is “narrative” and AI decks won’t close that gap for long time.

Just stopped at my first @bucees and honestly, it lived up to the hype. Clean, efficient, and packed with everything. Hard to imagine something like this making it to Michigan with the way regulations are set up.

@TheChiefNerd He clearly has an issue with MASSSIVE over hiring. Look at what Elon did when he took over Twitter, and that was before the “rise of LLM’s.”
