EARLIER, some chai tapri wala used to make his sales totally in cash. Now, a lot of it is through UPI though he is yet to be issued tax notices or he is still not filing ITRs/paying taxes. We cannot define any untaxed transaction coming into tax lens as informal/undocumented

Our informal or undocumented economy is unlikely to be 9 to 10 times our formal economy. With widespread adoption of UPI, we cannot define undocumented to mean untaxed. A lot of our undocumented economy has come in the radar of tax authorities though they might be untaxed yet.

The IPL is losing its charm every year. The first few seasons were absolute madness, but the hype just isn’t there anymore. Like the IPL is literally going on right now, yet not many seem to care. I think people are slowly getting fatigued with the same format, same cycle, and same overkill of matches. It still has huge brand value, but it probably needs to reinvent itself to regain that old craze and cultural buzz.

So you mean to say Governor should swear in TVK Government with support of 112MLAs(107 + 5 Congress MLAs) so that TVK and Congress can do horse trading to get support of 5 more MLAs and prove majority in the House? Why should other parties agree to this?

In a hung Assembly, the Governor’s role is simple: invite the formation with the clearest path to a majority and let it prove the numbers on the floor of the House. In Tamil Nadu, TVK is the single largest party. Congress has publicly backed Vijay, and letters of support have reportedly been submitted. That still does not mean Vijay has 118 yet , but it does mean he has the strongest visible claim to be given the first chance. Instead, the Governor’s delay and repeated “not satisfied” line only creates room for alternative combinations, pressure tactics and horse-trading. That is why this looks political. The issue is not wether Vijay already has the numbers. The issue is that Raj Bhavan seems unwilling to let the Assembly test whether he can get them. Political move. Bad for Democracy.

🚨BREAKING : Vijay has now decided to move Supreme Court against the Governor for not inviting him to form government Governor cannot behave like a BJP office bearer. TVK is the single largest party in Tamil Nadu and the only alliance claiming majority support. Inviting them to form the government is not charity. It is a constitutional duty. Majority must be tested on the floor of the House. Not inside closed rooms. Institution is being misused to stop Vijay because BJP knows one thing very clearly. Tamil Nadu will never accept them.
