This is understandable, as this was the first time the world saw Fascism. The point of this post is that we cannot make the same mistake because of our idealist hatred of the US's Liberal institutions. We have to use them for our struggle and if we don't we're doomed.

Addendum: The PCI wasn't founded yet when fascism first took power, but the general disorganization of socialists paved the way for the regime. Then when the PCI was founded a couple years into the regime, they floundered and failed to build an antifascist counter movement
