After reviewing the facts, I don’t believe the ICE agents killed Alex Pretti in cold blood. But I also don’t think he deserved to die. It seems like he had a right to bring a gun to the protest. But that doesn’t make it a smart idea, especially if he planned to obstruct officers who are already facing violence, doxxing, and death threats every day. Here’s the bigger issue: Minnesota is in a very dangerous state of chaos right now. It’s being fueled by state leaders who want to hide their own crimes and radicals who want societal collapse. This can go one of two ways: Either law and order is restored, or vigilante justice takes control. Both groups of bad actors WANT Trump to invoke the Insurrection Act because it will give them the ultimate “proof” that he’s a fascist dictator. But at this point, NOT invoking the Insurrection Act may have even worse consequences. If this government lets revolutionaries scare law enforcement away, Minnesota won’t be the only state overtaken by chaos.
