This sudden change is necessary to curb illicit financial flows, counterfeiting, corruption, and the hoarding of undeclared cash outside the formal banking system. The new notes will incorporate enhanced security features and will be issued within a strictly defined timeframe. All holders of the affected denominations are required to deposit them with licensed commercial banks and supervised financial institutions within the period announced by the Bank of Uganda. Transactions outside the formal system after the deadline will not be recognized. This measure is in the national interest. It will strengthen our tax base, promote financial transparency, and protect the value of the Uganda shilling for ordinary citizens. I call upon all Ugandans to cooperate fully with the Bank of Uganda and relevant authorities during this transition. For God and My Country.

IGG Asked to Probe FUFA Boss Moses Magogo! Former Uganda Cranes player Mike Mutyaba has petitioned the IGG to investigate FUFA President and MP Moses Magogo over alleged wealth, asset declarations, and possible conflicts of interest. He cites concerns about FIFA and CAF funds, government subventions, sponsorship money, and football revenues handled under Magogo’s leadership. Mutyaba wants checks on whether Magogo properly declared his wealth and whether his assets match his known income. He also alleges possible links between FUFA and private companies, and questions financial transparency in football administration. The petition is filed under constitutional and Leadership Code provisions. Mutyaba further calls for Magogo’s resignation and urges FUFA to respond to the allegations. The Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) should be dissolved immediately. It has turned into a breeding ground for political opportunists. The facts speak for themselves: 1. Betty Kamya, one of the founders of the Reform Agenda (now FDC) and its former spokesperson, later formed her own political party before joining the NRM, where she was appointed Inspector General of Government. During her tenure as IGG, she did not investigate or take action against Anita Among and other officials alleged to be involved in corruption. She made sure whistleblowers were sidelined or removed from their offices,to shield powerful individuals. 2. Anita Among, once FDC member, crossed over to NRM and is now one of the most corrupt figures in Uganda. During her time as Speaker, she is said to have been spending over one billion shillings a day. 3. Thomas Tayebwa followed the same path. He has FDC roots, moved to NRM, and is part of the silent system of massive financial abuse. 4. There is Yusuf Nsibambi, who recently moved from FDC to NRM. He is the one who sold the sovereignty bill thing to M7, and reportedly spent a full fortnight at Kisozi drafting it as though his entire life depended on it. This is not a real opposition party. It is a training ground for future NRM elites while ordinary Ugandans carry the burden. Enough is enough. Dissolve FDC now. The game is over.
