Every Senate Democrat just voted against a simple Voter ID requirement—a scaled-down version of SAVE America without the citizenship-verification measures Why? What do they have against requiring voters to prove who they are with a government-issued, photo ID on Election Day?

You're the majority leader, John. Blaming and whining about Democrats isn't going to inspire Republicans to vote in November. You have a backlog of 97 nominees that still need to be confirmed, including 10 judicial nominees, and over 100 bills including the SAVE America Act are stuck in the Senate. Nuke the filibuster and get to work. We don't want to hear your sob stories.

The level of BS coming from Thune is hysterical. If you don’t understand what’s happening, here’s the deal: GOP hates Trump. They count the days for his exit. They won’t waste nuking the filibuster on Trump (has nothing to do w/the legislation).

I have been saying this for MONTHS. Unfortunately, many Senators care more about their POWER than they do about actually DELIVERING for the American people. I don’t give a rip about “Senate procedure.” Let’s nuke the filibuster, fund DHS, and pass the SAVE America Act.

The Senate was meant to “cool” political passions like a saucer cools tea, but after serving for 15 years, I’d say it’s more like plaque clogging arteries.
