In short: SSV Staking reflects how the protocol is evolving. It aligns SSV with Ethereum’s validator reality and routes ETH-denominated fees back to stakers.

Lower friction means faster adoption. Faster adoption means more validators, more ETH fees, and a stronger economic loop for the network.

Second: effective balances live on Ethereum’s consensus layer. Contracts can’t read them directly. SSV introduces decentralized EB oracles to report validator balances on-chain, so fee calculation remains accurate and verifiable.

Third: liquidations slowed growth. Paying fees in SSV required collateral exposed to SSV/ETH volatility, creating friction for operators and validators. ETH-denominated fees reduce that volatility exposure. Liquidations aren’t removed, but they’re far less likely unless the runway is fully depleted.
