SKYBLAZER for the SNES (Sony Imagesoft/1994) is an action-platformer with excellent 16-bit graphics. Praised as a hidden gem, the game features fast-paced combat, wall-climbing and magic abilities. It's heavily based on Hindu mythology, though these elements were slightly altered for the Western release.

currently, the jp exclusive ps1 remake of the first three wizardry games is one of the best ways to experience the early titles. They're pretty faithful remakes (though it does have an automap) and you can even play them with the original wireframe visuals!

@St1ka No idea about the specifics for things but it seems Japanese anime, manga and games are allowed to namedrop, reference or even just straight up use designs from other IPs a lot easier than we do here. My guess is that since both are Wizardry the devs thought it was ok.

I know it was the Gamestop slop artist who drew this, but this half-assed "style" was everywhere between 1998 and 2004. It was mostly wannabe Western manga artists who clearly got their entire education from those equally retarded "how-to" draw books that flooded every Waldenbooks at the time. They realized they couldn't draw manga for shit so a great deal of them defaulted to drawing like, well, this. Why they opted for this trash and not the traditional, far-superior Kunio-kun artwork is a question for the ages.
