So, here’s the thing.
The idea that in the end women will come to regard anything they do besides marrying and having kids as skubalon is a really comforting cultural myth.
But there’s really no more reason to think it’s true of women than it is for men.

The best/worst example of this I’ve ever seen was some dude tweeting a pic of Meghan Markle riding in the carriage with Harry after their wedding and saying how much he liked that she wasn’t wearing makeup and I was just like 🙃

"Just wait until your kid gets older" threat is nonsense. My third is 3 and doesn't sleep past 5am. He *sprints* away from me w/ zero survival instinct and screams at me when I try to contaim him. He doesn't nap! I am with him 24/7. It does get easier than this, it just does.
