Station 20 responded to a large vehicle fire around 12:30 PM today just off Highway 74 in Stallings. Crews quickly established a water supply and brought the fire under control in a short amount of time. No injuries were reported.

Thank you to all who stayed off the Rds over the last 48hrs. We’re glad to report that we worked no MVA’s during the storm. W/ overnight temps remaining extremely cold the next few nights, please use caution when traveling especially on side roads where ice may still be present.

If the forecast proves accurate, today marks the start of a week of dangerous ice & cold conditions. We ask residents to stay off the roads whenever possible. Ice makes driving extremely hazardous & limits our ability to respond safely and quickly to emergencies.

Weekend Weather Update Cold temperatures and hazardous weather are expected this weekend. If possible, limit travel and use extra caution. Stay safe and stay weather aware.

As the weekend approaches, please remain weather-aware. Forecasts are calling for ice mixed with snow. Icy road conditions can be extremely dangerous—if ice is present, we strongly urge you to stay off the roads.
