@HomelessCalgary @AlbertaCSS Good question. Each organization makes their own decisions as to what they think is a priority. Not sure why towels are so low on the list. For us, it was closer to the top of the list.

@standandcommand @AlbertaCSS When you do work for the Inn as a client, do you bill through Abe Brown's own coaching company, Momentum or others (such as Healthy, Wealthy and Wise etc) Have seen related allegations on Reddit about him and IFTC ops under him.

@HomelessCalgary @AlbertaCSS We have met Abe and Louise but don't know them. Towels seems to be pretty low on the priority list for the organization but a huge direct contribution to the client.

@HomelessCalgary @AlbertaCSS No. The Inn is a client and we have seen the need first hand. Not sure who Jordan is but all the front line people we work with have the pulse on what's needed...and tney asked us for towels.

@HomelessCalgary @AlbertaCSS Yes yes and yes. These are all governance issues. Board level and funder considerations that can be influenced at that level. While that happens, we want to give people the chance to have a nice dry and clean towel. Not everything can or needs to be tied to structural change.

@standandcommand @AlbertaCSS When you are a cash rich not for profit, you become immune to following laws and regs. And can result in bullying (of clients and communities ) and often use of high priced legal resources to maintain status quo (ie their high paying exec positions).

@HomelessCalgary We aren't sure how they avoid accountability by receiving goods that are a direct contribution to the client's who use the facility. From a governance perspective we can understand where you are be coming from. Especially with the DI.

@standandcommand it's through these types of initiatives, reported by local media, that not for profits avoid accountability. The Di case in point. Please make an attempt to become better informed before making similar suggestions, or carrying on with this type of initiative.
