We asked @standardnuclear CEO Kurt Terrani about the nuclear myth that bothers him most: "There is radiation going through me right now, and there's radiation going through you right now. That's called natural background radiation. We all get it." "When you go take a flight, you get a little bit more. When you go to the dentist or the chest X-ray, you get a lot more. A lot more certainly than I experience day-to-day at a nuclear fuel plant." "Take arsenic. Below 200 parts per billion is safe. So 250 parts per billion is toxic. You pour a little clean water into it, bring it down below 200. We're hydrated, we're high-fiving, we're happy." "But with radiation, no, no, no. It's the only thing that somehow anything above zero is bad, and we ignore the fact that it's naturally all around us. It's not just archaic, it's wrong."
