What really burns me about this as an American fighting for Ukraine, is that Israel buys stolen Ukrainian grain instead of American grain. 😡 Our farmers are suffering terrible times right now, as China stopped buying many of our farmed products, and as a result a historic number of American farms are failing. Our "ally" and "close friend" Israel choses to buy stolen Ukrainian grain instead of American grain. This is wrong on so many levels. If Israel is our ally, why not help our farmers? Why put money into Russian hands while Russia is commiting GENOCIDE in Ukraine!? This needs to be a bigger story! 🤬 #StandWithUkraine #RussiaIsATerroristState

This exactly why cases where Ukrainian soldiers hold a position for months at a time should absolutely not be celebrated. Those individual soldiers are heroes, but each such instance represents a failure of command; soldiers are only human and can only endure so much.

Ukraine's military has struggled with manpower shortages and prolonged deployments, with some troops remaining on positions for months due to a lack of replacements. The research by the Office of the Military Ombudsman indicates that prolonged deployments lead to severe psychological strain, decreasing combat effectiveness. 'Everything beyond 40 days cannot be considered effective,' Reshetylova said in an interview to Ukrainska Pravda, adding that commanders should take the findings into account. She noted that existing regulations limit time on position to 15 days, but the rule is widely ignored, leaving some troops deployed for months or longer without rotation.
