Last week the government announced the first-ever pesticide reduction target in the UK as part of the long-awaited UK Pesticides National Action Plan – a commitment to reducing the environmental risk from pesticides by 10% over the next 5 years. #StandByBees 💛🐝

Happy #WorldBeeDay! These pollinators are small but mighty. They are responsible for every three mouthfuls of food we eat, pollinate more than 75% of the global crops we rely on and contribute an estimated £400 million to the UK economy each year. #StandByBees

This is beyond disappointing and is now the fourth consecutive emergency authorisation of Cruiser SB. We must keep pushing. We cannot allow this to be a routine authorisation for years to come. #StandByBees

This week is @DefraGovUK's #BeesNeedsWeek. Yet there is still alarming inactivity from the government when it comes to our precious pollinators. There is simply not enough being done to cut toxic pesticide use and protect our pollinators. #StandByBees

Prioritise #PollinatorsNotPesticides ⚠️ Commit to phasing out #pesticide use in domestic and urban settings, and ambitious and binding reduction targets in agriculture. Ensure pesticide products are properly tested on bumblebees and other key non-target animals. 2/7
