The amazing discovery of the medieval font from @standrewschip on the watching brief for carpark work and just outside the main door indicates the sanctity of ‘unwanted’ fonts and their ritual burial in consecrated ground. @wiltsgazette @SocAntiquaries @ChippMuseum @BBCWiltshire

A beautiful and awe inspiring prayer set by @churchofengland for today that reminds us of the duties and joys of this coming Advent season.

As well as that, what a privilege to live in a country where casual passers by are so astonishingly brave. Whatever we disagree about during an election we can be united in celebrating such examples. Let those of faith thank God for the gift of such people, let all of us be glad.

This coming Saturday, 16th November, is our Autumn Concert at St Andrews Church, Chippenham, at 7:30pm, where we will be playing Beethoven's popular Egmont Overture, Brahms' 4th Symphony and Jacob Byrne will be playing the fantastic Shostakovich Concerto for Piano No. 2.

If only our stalls could talk... Our original 13th century oak stalls are the earliest complete set of choir stalls in England. They’ve been present for nearly 800 years of worship!
