@WallStreetMav Useless realtors add 7%, or more, to those prices.
I hope they have a backup plan

The USA removed all silver from our coins (dimes and quarters) in 1965.
Nixon closed the Gold window in 1971, which removed the backing of the US dollar with Gold.
After that, Congress and the Fed were unleashed to run up our debt to $38 trillion.
If you wonder why housing is unaffordable and everything in life seems more expensive now, it is because our currency is being devalued a little each year. Your 2% raise doesn’t keep up with inflation.

Does it look familiar? Human nature simply doesn’t change, it has all happened before.

@josephnollasj Great. Has anyone called on the illegals to repent for their sinful behavior in violating our laws?

Pentagon access is a privilege, not a right. So, here is @DeptofWar press credentialing FOR DUMMIES:
✅ Press no longer roams free
✅ Press must wear visible badge
✅ Credentialed press no longer permitted to solicit criminal acts
DONE. Pentagon now has same rules as every U.S military installation

Excellent question. Thank you for asking.
First of all, as believers, we do not want to “get around” any verse. Rather, we want to correctly understand it and, in doing so, get to know God’s heart better.
Because of this, we must compare Scripture with Scripture. We can’t just take an isolated nugget and build our whole theology around it.
In Romans 16:1 Paul commends, “Pheobe, a deacon of the Church.” In verse 3 Paul commends, “Priscilla and Aquila, my co-workers in Christ.” In verse 6, “Mary, who worked very hard for you.” In verse 7, “Andronicus and Junia … They are outstanding among the Apostles.”
So, there were women working, teaching, and leading in the early church, and Paul commended them for this.
It’s interesting to note that Priscilla is repeatedly named before her husband, indicating that she likely became a Christian first, or was possibly more versed in theology or skilled at teaching.
In Acts 18:26 we read that Priscilla and Aquila taught Apollos. So, a woman taught Apollos. She is commended for this.
Coming back to 1 Timothy 2, it’s important to note that the preceding verses are focused on women’s physical attire and modesty and propriety.
Based on what we know about Priscilla and Aquila (how they taught Apollos as a team and how Paul considered Priscilla his “coworker”), as well as the context of Paul being concerned about women’s modesty and purity, we can deduce several things:
1. Paul is likely advising against women counseling or disciplining men, especially one-on-one. Discipleship is an intimate relationship, which could easily become inappropriate between a man and a woman. For example, I would not want to counsel a man about his sexual temptations. Another man needs to do that.
2. Paul clearly isn’t against women teaching, since he commends Priscilla for teaching and calls her his coworker.
3. This letter was written by Paul to Timothy who was pastoring early Christians in Ephesus. We do not know what specific issues Paul was responding to, but in Chapter 1, Paul mentions Timothy’s concerns about “myths and endless genealogies,” implying that some new converts from pagan religions were trying to import their superstitions and false beliefs into Christianity. Paul specifically mentions murdering their parents (?!), sexual immorality, homosexuality, and slave trading in 1:10.
So, the reasoning and context behind his counsel in 2:11-12 is likely in response to one of these sin issues, and the complications such sins were causing in Timothy’s congregation.
One theory I have heard is that former pagan prophetesses and temple prostitutes may have been attempting to lead and hold office in the early church, and Paul wanted them to sit quietly and learn instead.
