The surge of antisemitism taking hold across our country is dangerous and deadly and must be defeated. The latest example is unfolding in Michigan, where reports indicate an active shooter situation involving a vehicle driven into a synagogue and gunfire at the scene.

In 1931 in Kiel, Germany, Rachel Posner, the wife of a rabbi, took this picture. On the back of the photograph she wrote: “‘Death to Judah,’ so the flag says. ‘Judah lives forever,’ so the light answers.” The light will continue to answer the darkness. Happy Hanukkah.

On Yom Kippur a shooter butchered Jews in the UK. On the first night of Hanukkah two shooters massacred Jews in Australia. Our concerns are mocked and then Jews pay with their lives for them. timesofisrael.com/at-least-11-ki…

A dark day for the Jewish people and the world. We must defend ourselves and above all, spread light. Don’t cower. Spread light, instead. Start tonight by lighting physical candles for the holiday. But then seek truth, speak truth, and make the world better. That’s our job.

The news out of Bondi is devastating.

Just days ago, Barstool’s Dave Portnoy (@stoolpresidente) was recording a pizza review in Mississippi, when a passerby shouted an antisemitic comment and the interaction was caught on camera. In an interview with @CBSSunday airing next weekend, Portnoy tells @tonydokoupil that he’s seen a sharp rise in antisemitism lately, noting that he now gets that sort of hate every day.

I am horrified by the violent anti-Semitic attack on Jewish children in Boulder. They were marching with their parents in peace, calling for hostages to be released, and had fire bombs thrown at them. We cannot be a country where Jewish people cannot safely be in public.
