One year ago today I went to @MeansRacing52 to film the shop video with Jimmy. When I walked in he was on the ground welding under a chassis. He stood up and said “I never shake a man’s hand sitting down” and that stuck with me. My dad never told me that. Both my grandfathers were gone before I was 12. The videos are great.. but the little things like this that come with making them are priceless. I appreciate anything to be learned from this generation and take it upon myself to keep those things alive. Even if I am only one person. Everything starts with one person.

@SlapshotRacing @TheCatchFence In theory actually a bit quieter because the pulses are smoothed out. The collision of pulses exiting the exhaust makes that rapping sound and it’s a bit louder because of it.

@phishead942 If it wasn’t intentional then the general population associates the sounds of 20 years ago with what nascar sounds like. Not the gurbled misfire sound they make today.

Fox used gen4 superspeedway sounds dubbed in over current footage for pre race Hocevar bit. Even they know the nextgen car sounds bad 😂

The Brandon Gdovic K&N Team got most of the Penske Gen4 Nationwide fleet after the COT came along, such as this old Discount Tire car from 2010 They had fun with the old schemes even using the Penske font for their #46

@SteelHorseLive Don’t do it with late models at Bristol or use a slower track. The LMSC chassis is not as strong as the nascar gen 4/5/6 chassis or built for impacts like that.

Exactly. The “ABC” path was ARCA Busch Cup. Trucks were their own thing and epic when the field was full of established veterans. Trucks still have some of that today but that angle of it is never promoted. Not everyone needs to be the next Jeff Gordon.

@jamesminor88 @Frontstretch That’s not saying much. Someone could race a few years at a local short track and still be a total rolling hazard. You see it all the time. I have a better head on my shoulders than many of the bonehead kids out there.

@Frontstretch It time that arca and NASCAR put stop to guy with no real racing experience take up seat at this big of a track . If u going run arca you need to have race a local Short track series or home track for few years before getting to test arca
