One year ago today I went to @MeansRacing52 to film the shop video with Jimmy. When I walked in he was on the ground welding under a chassis. He stood up and said “I never shake a man’s hand sitting down” and that stuck with me. My dad never told me that. Both my grandfathers were gone before I was 12. The videos are great.. but the little things like this that come with making them are priceless. I appreciate anything to be learned from this generation and take it upon myself to keep those things alive. Even if I am only one person. Everything starts with one person.

@hallieimrie Please report them when you see them. The accounts pop up fairly often but reporting for impersonation or stolen content usually works quickly in removing them. Thank you for telling me!

@stapleton42_ just a heads up, just saw this account on Facebook that has clipped several of your videos and has them up. I'm seeing this trend more often.

@stapleton42_ i spent an hour last night trying to find the video where you swapped the escalade t-case. if i remember correctly, it was awd, and you swapped it to a NP241, correct? have an awd yukon, and this t-case has to go lol

@Shane17__ I’d be surprised if they had much more than this at Charlotte or Michigan for qualifying but I can find out. 734 was pretty dang stout for 1993 for anyone besides the 28

@stapleton42_ Especially its a privateer one Car Team. Not Like Yates or Roush for example which Had massive Support from Ford.

@VPuglieseRacing @Gregaa03 With today’s material technology you could run multiple races at 800+ I guarantee it. These engine platforms are not even being stressed at 670. That’s why you never ever see one blow up anymore.

@Gregaa03 @stapleton42_ They also have to run multiple races without rebuilding for an entire weekend now. Back then they had practice, qualifying and race motors.

@goJohnnyA Knocking on 1000 but I haven’t firsthand heard anyone say they had seen 1000 on a dyno. Seriously. Rusty Wallace said in 2005 his qualifying engines had 950. Race engines were less but still. Insane power.

@stapleton42_ Wonder what they were pushing in the late 2000s when they were approaching 10kRPMs in races.

@buwalda_john Note this was a qualifying engine but I’m sure the race engine wasn’t too far off

@stapleton42_ It's not necessarily the HP that's the impressive part to me. Rather, the fact that it could make that power and not blow something every race is a huge breakthrough.

@buwalda_john I’ve had people on here arguing with me about it before. Cars back then were not weak. 1992 was a major breakthrough into the 700 club for the Ford camp once the Yates developed C3 head was made available to everyone. Most of the Fords anyways.

UGLY PAINT SCHEMES THREAD: What was your personal ugliest paint scheme? Here’s mine. I remember this car being nails on a chalkboard for my eyeballs as a kid I couldn’t stand it. Funny because I like UPS but brown has no place on a racecar. Later versions of the scheme got better

@Jrdesigns7788 If it didn’t use brown it would be cooler. The design itself isn’t bad. Just the color ratios and brown

@KrisKlein86 Definitely got better. The MWR 44 UPS car wasn’t bad looking with way less brown. That era Taurus didn’t help anything with the fugly oval grille. That was the first car I’d crash into playing nascar thunder 2003 😂

@stapleton42_ You have no idea how this scheme broke my heart replacing the gorgeous RWB Quality Car scheme!! I will admit that I do like the version with the lighting stripes from year 2 of UPS.
