Some AM5s for Friday! Of all the mounts we have here at the observatory, this is one where we have never had a single copy break. When I open a box for an install and see an AM5 it brings a tear of joy to my face.

@AlaricPrins @zwoastro @Optolong_filter @chucksastropho1 has had a lot of success with this setup. He was using 10 s exposures from Detroit, but has moved his RASA to @starfront_obs , so expect he is using much longer exposures from those dark skies.

I wanted to see whether I could capture a decent RGB image of the Tarantula Nebula from my Bortle 7/8 skies in Cape Town. This is a stack of 1700 10s exposures with the RASA 8 and @zwoastro ASI533MC Pro with the @Optolong_filter L-Pro. #astrophotography #astronomy

A completely unedited photo of the moon captured a moment ago from the remote location in Texas where I have one system shooting deep panoramas of the milky way. A second one will be up and running soon for intricate photos of deep sky objects. I'll capture ~7 hours tonight.
