@belladonnafeli I say this a lot but imo the biggest trauma for theon living in wf was not any threat of violence but the complete severance from country, kin, and culture which effectively ensured that no matter where he went as an adult he would always be an outsider and never have a home

While I don’t agree that Ned would execute child Theon, some of you are downplaying how traumatizing being a hostage was for Theon to make Ned seem like he’s not culpable of fault at all. Regardless of the circumstances Theon was taken as a hostage from his family as a child.
