Stop trying to make art into a competition. It’s annoying and insufferable. Not every director works at the pace you want them to and neither can you expect consistency for the amount of time it takes. This goes for all directors not just Matt Reeves. Art is not a god damn dick measuring contest. You’ll get it when it’s ready. The only thing we should judge is if that art was good or not.

In 2024 New York instituted a new law that, per the NYPost, "classifies rape as nonconsensual or forcibly compelled sexual intercourse, oral sexual conduct or anal sexual conduct after previously defining rape as only nonconsensual or forcibly compelled vaginal penetration by a penis."
So... New York (rightly!) expanded the definition of what counts as rape. More survivors (thankfully!) came forward. As a result, official rates of rape increased. So Mamdani was... right and everyone is just yelling about this in bad faith?

Blue Beetle was a turning point for DC. This is when James Gunn really first showed his understanding of niche characters. Three years out, the love that Blue Beetle is finally getting is nice to see.
But then you realize that the only reason people are looking back on it now is because of his involvement in Man of Tomorrow. I think it shows Gunn's forward thinking and maybe his thought of, 'You don't understand this character and his involvement yet, but you will some day.' And that someday is here.
