NEWSOM TO STEAL $5.6 BILLION FROM CALIFORNIA CLASSROOMS TO COVER HIS BUDGET DISASTER Sonja Shaw @realSonjaShaw just issued an urgent warning to every California parent and taxpayer. “Gavin Newsom is about to rip $5.6 billion straight out of California’s classrooms — not from government waste, from our kids,” she said. “This is money that the voters already guarantee for education under Prop 98. It is in the state’s constitution. It’s supposed to be untouchable.” But Newsom is planning a backroom budget trick anyway in his revised May budget: “Newsom plans to defer $5.6 billion out from the guaranteed pool of money saying they’ll just pay it back later on. That means less money in classrooms right now — fewer resources, bigger classes.” Shaw nailed exactly where the money is really going: “Because he blew the budget again… because Sacramento cannot control its spending… because he’d rather protect his political pet projects than our kids. So where is all that money going? It’s covering a massive deficit created funding free health care for illegal immigrants. Yes you heard me! His bullet train to nowhere.” She called it what it is: “This is exactly what Prop 98 was designed to stop. Politicians treating school funding like their own personal piggy banks. And Newsom is smashing it anyways. This robbing our kids to pay for his agenda.” Shaw delivered the direct message to Newsom: “Clearly Gavin, do not defer one single dime of Prop 98 education funds. Not now. Not later. Not ever.. You need to fully fund our schools at the constitutional minimum. No delays, no excuses. Our kids’ needs come first. Not your politics.” Parents are done watching Sacramento raid education every time the Democrats overspend. California kids are not Newsom’s personal ATM. Share this and demand he keep his hands off Prop 98 funds.

Hey @XavierBecerra, a state of emergency is for conditions of disaster or extreme peril, not because insurance rates are too high. If you’ve read the statute, you’d know the Governor can’t just declare an “insurance emergency” to bypass California law. Families need real solutions, not made-up executive powers.

@RobSchneider This. Economics is the agent of change. ABC has broadcast this show and The View which alienates half of the country with lies and hateful rhetoric. Broadcast networks used to operate with some sort of decency and integrity. Their brand will be forever tarnished.

The president pressuring a private company to fire someone over speech is bad, actually. The First Amendment isn’t just for words that people like.

@billybinion You have to wonder why @ABC @Disney would keep someone on the air whose constant divisive political rhetoric has driven away viewers in the millions and normalizes violence. Americans don’t want this. Late night TV used to be a fun way to end our night, now it’s just angry.

I empathize a lot with the first lady, and I don't find Jimmy Kimmel funny. He still has free speech rights, because the First Amendment does not just protect funny people with tasteful jokes. The government should not be pressuring a private company to fire someone.
