🚀New from Meta FAIR: today we’re introducing Seamless Interaction, a research project dedicated to modeling interpersonal dynamics. The project features a family of audiovisual behavioral models, developed in collaboration with Meta’s Codec Avatars lab + Core AI lab, that render speech between two individuals into diverse, expressive full-body gestures and active listening behaviors, allowing the creation of fully embodied avatars in 2D and 3D. These models have potential to create more natural, interactive virtual agents that can engage in human-like social interactions across a variety of settings. Learn more: ai.meta.com/research/seaml…

ScoreHMR outperforms optimization-based approaches both in terms of accuracy and speed!

@ligongh We train a diffusion model to capture the conditional distribution of SMPL model parameters given an input image. We show that this diffusion model can be used in several downstream tasks, such as body model fitting in images and videos.

Score-Guided Human Mesh Recovery (ScoreHMR) is an approach for solving inverse problems for 3D human pose and shape reconstruction. ScoreHMR mimics model fitting approaches, but alignment with the image observation is achieved through score guidance in the latent space of a diffusion model.
