Really grateful for the chance to sit down with @Hawk. Hawk’s journey from undersized MAC receiver to 6 years in the NFL by way of the CFL will fire any athlete up. At his lowest points when everyone thought he was crazy, he just pushed harder. As a guy who played Indy Ball — the lowest form of minor league baseball — this conversation was a great reminder that we aren’t crazy for chasing our dreams so long as we are ready to challenge the lowest odds with the highest level of commitment. I spent more time on a baseball field than anywhere else on this planet and it is downright unsettling to think about how useless my fastball is to me today. I know a lot can relate. Hawk’s post-football success at Columbia University, @espn and now @statuspro is an inspiration.
