@HPbasketball I think games played matters more then minutes per game does right now there’s a 3 game gap in games played between Sga and wemby I’d give it to Sga Thunder would need to suck for the final 9 while the spurs play insane with Wemby for that to change at this point

@HPbasketball Shai and Jokic have both played 300 more minutes than Wemby. I know it's close, but actually being on the court is an important factor.

@HPbasketball I thinks it’s Sgas award unless he really falters and the spurs take the 1 seed off the back of Wemby performances to end the season recency bias is one hell of a thing. If wemby is able to catch Sga in some advanced metrics and takes the 1 seed voters are gonna like that a lot

I want to be very clear about this: head to head considerations do not belong in MVP. it's the dumbest thing we do in the MVP conversation. It's so hyper contextual to lose all meaning. The early games count, the late games count. It all counts together.

@HPbasketball I counter with the Spurs faced 24-1 OKC on Dec 13 and handed them 3 losses in 12 days ending any 74+ win talk. Since 12/13 Spurs are 38-11 (37-9 with Wemby), OKC is 33-15 (26-11 with SGA). So while OKC had a better first 25 games, the Spurs have had the better next 50.

I know he *just* got back from injury, but in 8 games vs. Top 10 opponents this year, Jalen Williams has averaged 14.9 PPG on 45.6% TS He's been brutal in essentially every big game he's played in this year. Now, he has to find a rhythm in these couple weeks before the playoffs.

@TJenkinsTampa Reds didn’t always have opening day to themselves but I believe they were the first game played for the majority of the time so it always started with a reds pitcher throwing the first pitch which they should bring back no reason the reds can’t be the first game today

Great win for Boston. Phenomenal 3P shooting, balanced offense and really good team defense. No doubt that's the best team in the East. Shai was great but OKC's offense outside of him was brutal. J Dub was awful. At some point, Caruso's gonna have to finally hit an open three.

This was inevitable & probably a good thing. I'm excited to have an NBA team back in Seattle. The talent in the league is certainly deep enough to justify two more teams. They will, unfortunately, be two more teams that suck & tank for a bit, but long-term, I think it'll be good.
