I have a proposal for @SecKennedy. I’ve disagreed with much of what you’ve done as HHS Sec. But, you’ve stated that your overarching goal is to make America healthy again. So let’s do that. I’ll help. Every doctor, healthcare provider, public health expert in this country will help you. Announce your intent to phase out the sale of cigarettes in the US. Put together a 5 year plan to do this. Cigarettes kill almost 500,000 Americans every year. What other product kills 1/2 the people who can’t quit? It’s a leading cause of chronic disease. It causes heart disease, emphysema, stroke, and lung, mouth, throat, esophageal, stomach and bladder cancer. It addicts kids. You say you want to MAHA? This is the way. It’s a big idea, and it will take a lot of political courage. Your family has defined political courage. Do something big. America’s doctors will root for you. We’ll help.
