@BlancaT91255771 @techteach_csub Yes! Definitely helps the teacher see the areas of need of each student. This in fact helps us support students and to close those gaps in their learning.

@techteach_csub Rubrics provide clear expectations of the assignment. Provide students with feedback and helps them focus on what they need to do to improve their learning. Helps teachers see the areas of need of each student. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC13

@emurill99270020 @techteach_csub Rubristar is great! There are many rubrics already available or it is quick and easy to make your own using their website. Instead of teachers grading student work it is a good idea to have them evaluate their own work to ensure they can see they are meeting requirements.

@techteach_csub Using RubriStar, the teacher can assign a project based assignment in which 4th grade students can use measurements to create their own modern California mission. The students can focus on the guidelines and evaluate their own work by using the rubric. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC13

@techteach_csub Rubrics provide more details than a simple letter grade. Rubrics are divided in different parts and clear descriptions of what is expected is provided in each component. This helps us understand students understanding of material & their progress. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC13

@Julieta12870426 Engagement is key to every lesson so I do agree with you. Prezi allows for more creativity and interaction. Reading aloud is a fear many students have so I can see these platforms facilitating their reading skills.

We could use Prezi to be creative with the lesson on literacy. It could be more interactive. Google slides and Slide deck can be useful to make reading more interactive. We can take advantage of the feature for literacy. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC12

@JackiHypOtenUSE @techteach_csub I like this idea! I am in a Spanish classroom. I can use this to divide syllables and teach accent marks as well. I can record myself emphasizing where the accent marks belong to help them hear the difference in hard and soft vowels.

@techteach_csub I imagine using it to show the word, break it down by syllable if necessary, definition, used in a sentence, and, if possible, a visual example of the word, like a picture or gif. One of those on each slide. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC12

@techteach_csub Prezi is a very engaging way to present information rather than giving students slides to read. Can be used to teach spelling & parts of speech. Prezi allows you to show yourself as you teach the material. A great platform for visual and auditory learners #EDTE4100Spring2021TC12

@Nicolle53034569 @techteach_csub I love using Nearpod! It is the most interactive while still serving as a summative and formative assessment. I like it because it is less intimidating than your standard "quiz" with mult. choice questions.

@techteach_csub Nearpod is a great technology tool that can be used for summative assessment. Teacher are able to post powerpoints, google slides, and interactive videos from youtube. Students collaborate with other students and the teacher. Nicolle E #EDTE4100Spring2021TC11

@eorenosgarcia1 @techteach_csub I just created an account with Polleverywhere but haven’t used it quite yet. I'm all about making lessons more interactive so I will try this asap. Thanks :)

@techteach_csub I'd use GoogleForms as a Formative Assessment. What I like most is that it collects the data for you & it will also put it all on a GoogleSheet to view all the data. It's also great because it grades it for you! All you need to do is import the scores! #EDTE4100Spring2021TC11

@BlancaT91255771 @techteach_csub Hello! I have never used Khan Academy but I watched a TED Talk where the presenter explained giving students the lecture before hand and discussing it the following day. Students seem to grasp the information a lot better and easier! Thanks for sharing :)

@techteach_csub Khan Academy helps students improve their skills through the well-explained video lessons. Khan Academy teaches the lesson, tests the students' knowledge, registers students' scores & the students can re-watch any video, any time #EDTE4100Spring2021TC10

@IvetteRamirezM1 @kmalcolm_ @techteach_csub Hi there! I like this idea & could see myself using. Many of my kids are sometimes very shy to read aloud since it is in Spanish so this would definitely help them improve their reading without having all eyes on them. Thanks! :)

@techteach_csub I would encourage students to use Quizlet. There are hundreds of topics to choose from. The "learn" feature helps you study cards & depending on your mastery with a specific card it will get rid of it and narrow down to the ones you need more help studying #EDTE4100Spring2021TC10

@techteach_csub Edpuzzle allows me to use video to demonstrate or explain a lesson while also integrating questions and assessment into the lesson. These questions can direct and reinforce what they are learning. #EDTE4100Fall2020TC9

@techteach_csub Kahoot is great. My students are currently doing a short novel study & I found a Kahoot belonging to the first 3 chapters. We completed this Kahoot & it refreshed their memory. It also helped me see which chapters we need to go back & review a bit more. #EDTE4100Fall2020TC9

@MeaganBeverly1 @techteach_csub Hi! I like this idea. I have tried it with my students via zoom & breakout rooms but they are all so shy!! I'm sure this would be a lot more efficient in a physical classroom when we get back to it :)

@techteach_csub I would start by pairing up groups who have different strengths so they use their strengths to their advantage. For example, one who is very outspoken can speak, one very visual can be in charge of graphics, one more shy can make a video #EDTE4100Spring2021TC8

@techteach_csub I can use Peardeck to make my slides interactive for my classroom. Peardeck allows Google slides to become interactive, which will benefit the student’s engagement. I can also add videos within the slides. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC8

@techteach_csub I use GoogleSlides for guided reading activities. I post a question on each slide & each student must put their name on the slide & answer the question. This ensures that all students are collaborating & working rather than waiting for the answer. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC8

@IvetteRamirezM1 @techteach_csub Hi! I agree with you. Kahoot is such an engaging platform. Students view it as a competitive game when in reality they are also reviewing & learning from it. Less pressure than a standard quiz but just as effective :)

@techteach_csub Kahoot allows for students to interact w/ each other, having fun, & race against their peers to reach the top of the ranking. This offers ways for students to be involved in their learning, & get students to interact w/ one another about the content. #EDTE4100Spring2021TC7

@techteach_csub Sharp Class helps students be aware of what goes on in the classroom. There is also a selection called jobs and giving jobs to students for them to do can help them feel important and when they feel important they have more of an urge to do the right things #EDTE4100Spring2021TC7
