This gets more and more disturbing. A CBC-affiliated organization appears to have used fake names and a false premise to attempt to gain entry into a citizen’s private home with malicious intent, knowing small children and a baby reside there. As a parent in public life who worries about my own kids, this is absolutely deplorable.
Lindsay Shepherd@NewWorldHominin

Here are some emails that I received from Molly Gore ("Pam Gibson") and Igor Vamos ("Michael Smith") as part of the "prank" show that CBC/APTN will be airing. This is how they were communicating with me

We’re building the momentum to defeat the NDP in the next election. I’ll unite our party and restore common sense in British Columbia.

We (Team Caroline Elliott) have been publishing our internals at nearly every point in the race, and predictably, folks say our internals are “made up”. This time, our campaign commissioned a 3rd party poll to see if it validated our internals. I’m very happy to say that it has. Here’s what we’ve been seeing (and what Pallas confirms). 1. Yuri experienced a surge in the immediate aftermath of his OneBC deal (from approximately 8% to approximately 18%) since the video we dropped of him saying we live on stolen land, and people starting to really think about the implications of the OneBC Deal, he has dropped back to where he was. 2. Elliott and Black have gained but the primary beneficiary of Yuri's collapse has been KLF. She is now in second place being chased by Black. 3. Iain Black and Peter Milobar have been locked in a “mini-primary” over who gets to be the standard bearer for the so-called “BC Liberal wing” of the Party. It’s clear that at present, Iain is winning that fight. 4. Yuri has spent most of the campaign attacking Caroline but 2nd ballot polling shows there are VERY few voters to get from her. He’s competing primarily with KLF for the same voter pool. 5. Caroline is still strongly in first place. 6. Undecideds are down to 12%. Much smaller than at earlier points in the race. 7. Still a lot of time left on the ice.

I was Director of Communications for the Conservative Party BC 2024 General election campaign. Yuri Fulmer only talked about being a settler on “unceded/stolen” land because he wanted to. You think we directed that? Hell no. In the warroom we rolled our eyes at it every time.

Leadership is about showing courage, even when it's hard. I stood up against the NDP's radical land back agenda, against activism in classrooms, against identity politics and for free speech - when others were just going along to get along. We need that same kind of courage to pull the NDP’s toxic ideology out by its roots and restore common sense to BC. Join me: WinForBC.ca

I was writing about the potential impacts of UNDRIP on democratic principles a full DECADE ago - in 2016 - years before it even became law in BC. Don’t let Eby or anyone else who voted for DRIPA say they didn’t know what it would mean. The implications were right there for anyone to see. Now, they’re playing out in real time. I’ll repeal DRIPA entirely. It’s the only way forward. Join me: WinForBC.ca

Alarming assessment from veteran columnist @VaughnPalmer, consistent with my own long-stated concerns: 👀 “Eby reminded him of a guy emerging from a hostage-taking and reading a statement prepared by his captors.” 🚨 “Already the province has learned that it cannot amend its own laws without the consent of First Nations.” ⚠️ “As for the premier, I have to think that Sunday was the day he discovered who was really running this province — and it was not David Eby.” I’ve been warning that our democracy is at risk for years. THIS is what I was talking about. Had enough? Join me: WinForBC.ca

British Columbians must not be held hostage by a weak government caving to threats. This moment calls for courage. The courage to act in the interest of ALL British Columbians. The courage to do the right thing, even when it’s hard. The courage to stand up for the very simple principle that that the decisions we must live by are made by the governments we elect. ✅ Repeal DRIPA. ✅ Protect private property. ✅ Put the public interest first. “A very real threat” if he doesn’t obey the Chiefs says David Eby. What about the very real threat of 90% of B.C. land base being considered “unceded” by First Nations with overlapping title claims? Buddy, we're already in the worst-case scenario

I stayed quiet and just observed. Sometimes in the middle of chaos, that’s exactly what you need to do. But I’m going to set the record straight. Caroline did the honourable thing. She chose not to run because of the situation surrounding the collapse of BC United and the reality that many candidates weren’t going to be able to run. She had also stepped down as Vice President well before that. I know this because I had direct conversations with her. I remember the meeting clearly — John had his own conversations and meetings as well, and they were positive. I also won’t forget that Caroline Elliott, along with her friend Katy Merrifield, came out from Vancouver to Langley to knock on doors for me during the election. That’s the kind of conservative she is. With all due respect, John — the truth matters. And I’m here to set the record straight.

I just got off the Mike Smyth show and I’m going to say it straight. The firejohnrustad.ca website and the smear mailer that went out in the final weeks of the 2024 election? Elections BC just confirmed it was BC United behind it and fined them $4,500. When it first appeared I figured it had to be the NDP. Never in a million years did I think it was coming from the leadership of BC United. But it was. This wasn’t some rogue operation. This was a straight-up failure of leadership at the top. Kevin Falcon was the leader. Caroline Elliott was the vice-president for some time and his sister-in-law. Both of them now say they knew nothing about it. Mark Werner, their campaign manager, says the same. Come on. I’ve run campaigns. You don’t spend that kind of money on a slick, professional hit job without the leader and the senior team knowing exactly what’s going on. Saying “I knew nothing” is simply not credible. We lost the chance to form government by just three seats, some ridings by 22 votes. This kind of thing matters. The BC Conservative Party has to be better than this. We need real leadership and real accountability, not excuses from people who let this happen on their watch. That’s what I told Mike. That’s what I believe. — John Rustad

It is preposterous to suggest the individual who led the BCU fold to BCC had anything to do with that ludicrous website. Caroline wanted to put BC first and knew a fractured right would help the NDP. I know - I was there. You’re lying.

John, you’re literally citing a fake press release from April fools day in this article. One that another outlet already had to pull and apologize for distributing. I understand why you’re salty these days, but at least be honest, for once.

To every Conservative member and supporter: keep your eyes open. Demand real transparency from every leadership candidate. Ask them where their loyalty truly lies, with the old guard in the backrooms, or with the people of British Columbia who want lower taxes, safer streets, and an end to NDP mismanagement.
