This week, I started a new role at AWS in S3 as a senior principal engineer. Shoutouts to my high school guidance counselor who said I’d never amount to anything. You gave me the courage I needed to get this far.

I worked through both 2001 and 2007, with uncertainty and at times, impending doom. Main tip: be hyperaware of what’s going on around you, read the tea leaves, and plan ahead. Each industry will react differently, so keep your skills honed and be ready to jump on opportunities.

@colmmacc Take it off, try to fix it. Take the opportunity to learn. If the result isn’t what you want, then you can still get the replacements. +1 on the slow epoxy, but also practice on simple things first.

$175 seems like a silly amount of money to waste, but I'm also worried that I will royally screw up that kind of glue or epoxy application. Paying someone else would cost more no matter what. Frustrating!

One of the waverly tuner buttons on my guitar is loose and just spins on its shaft instead of tuning the string. Do I spend about $25 and a few hours learning how to fix it with CA glue or epoxy? or spend about $200 for a new set of six tuners, replace one and have five spares?
