This BMW driver opted to turn down the offer of a £100 safer driving course and challenge his careless driving charge in court.
Last week he was found guilty by Bradford Magistrates of driving without due care and consideration and given 3 points and £750 in fines and costs.

Tesla alone sold 117,300 EVs in the US — more than ALL other EV makers combined (99,099). GM + Hyundai + Toyota + Rivian + Ford + Lucid + BMW + VW + everyone else… still couldn’t beat Tesla’s single-quarter numbers. Tesla outsold the entire rest of the industry by over 18,000 vehicles.

@staffordgary @OctopusEnergy 8p overnight tho for the next 12 months is still cheaper than mine now (where it will be the cheapest it will ever get effectively). I’d say that’s pretty good as it puts the control in your hands - the more you load shift the more you save.

@amywenn @OctopusEnergy Not really cos heavy users who are only paying 3.5p overnight can save a huge amount if they load shift - it puts them in control of how much I save. I’ll save bigger all cos that peak rate I hardly use any esp during simmer with solar cancelling most of it out.

@stephencrowther @OctopusEnergy Your estimate shows a near enough £100 saving. Yes things like EV tariffs are having the overnight rate reduced but some of the overall savings are much smaller as a result. Honestly I would look at the bigger picture and accept that this is actually the better option!
