
This morning, I had the privilege of helping lead a meeting of the Interreligious Forum of World Scouting — and I left inspired.
We are building toward something long overdue: the 6th World Scout Interreligious Symposium. Originally planned for 2020 in Jambville, France, the event was postponed by the pandemic. Now, the Forum is meeting with renewed purpose and energy to bring it to life.
The World Scout Interreligious Symposium is one of Scouting’s most remarkable gatherings — bringing together representatives of National Scout Organizations and faith communities from across the globe to deepen interfaith dialogue, understanding, solidarity, and peace. It is a living expression of what Scouting has always believed: that young people of every faith, background, and tradition have more in common than divides them.
The Forum — uniting many faith voices within the Scout Movement — is a quiet but powerful force for understanding in a world that needs it deeply.
This morning reminded me why this work matters.
