This morning, I had the privilege of helping lead a meeting of the Interreligious Forum of World Scouting — and I left inspired. We are building toward something long overdue: the 6th World Scout Interreligious Symposium. Originally planned for 2020 in Jambville, France, the event was postponed by the pandemic. Now, the Forum is meeting with renewed purpose and energy to bring it to life. The World Scout Interreligious Symposium is one of Scouting’s most remarkable gatherings — bringing together representatives of National Scout Organizations and faith communities from across the globe to deepen interfaith dialogue, understanding, solidarity, and peace. It is a living expression of what Scouting has always believed: that young people of every faith, background, and tradition have more in common than divides them. The Forum — uniting many faith voices within the Scout Movement — is a quiet but powerful force for understanding in a world that needs it deeply. This morning reminded me why this work matters. Honoured and humbled to share that I’ve been nominated for the Mount Pearl Paradise Chamber of Commerce Best In Business Awards — Business Leader of the Year! Our region has given me so much. Mount Pearl is where I served as Mayor — Canada’s youngest at the time. It’s where I built a consulting practice over the last twenty years. It’s where our @YoungDrivers centres have been rooted for nearly two decades. And it’s where so many of the people who shaped me as a leader live and work. I’ve had the privilege of serving in roles I never could have predicted — Deputy Premier of Newfoundland and Labrador, Chief Commissioner of @scoutscanada, Mayor of the City of Mount Pearl, entrepreneur, and advocate for causes I believe in deeply. None of it happens without great teams, strong communities, and a province that punches well above its weight. To be recognized by the @MPPChamber — in my own backyard — means more than most. I am proud of my work with @FOCUSGroupNL, @CanesAtlantic , @YoungDriversNL, and @PardysWaste. Grateful for the opportunities to contribute and grow. After nearly six years, I’ve made the difficult decision to step away from my roles as Senior Regional Desk Officer and Regional Organizer with the Conservative Party of Canada. What began as a short, six‑month, part‑time contract ahead of the 2021 election turned into an incredible journey — filled with inspiring people, hard-fought campaigns, proud wins, tough defeats, and lessons I’ll carry forward. I never imagined how meaningful these years would become, or how much I’d grow through the experience. Following the 2025 election, I was honoured to rejoin the Political Operations team, excited to help prepare for what I thought might be another national campaign soon. But with the timing of the next election uncertain and multiple by‑elections already underway, this feels like the right moment to step back and focus on other pursuits. I’m deeply thankful to Mike, Jeremy, and our entire Political Operations team, along with our National Councillors, Caucus, candidates, EDA presidents, and countless volunteers across Atlantic Canada. The dedication, professionalism, and genuine heart within this movement are unmatched — and being part of it has been one of the tremendous honours of my career. The Conservative family will always feel like home to me. I’ll remain a proud donor, volunteer, and supporter — and I believe deeply in our mission to restore Canada’s promise. The future of our country depends on strong leadership, compassion, and optimism — and I remain hopeful. I’ll have more to share in the weeks ahead about other adventures. For now, I just want to say thank you — to my colleagues, teammates, and the many extraordinary Canadians who made this work worthwhile. What's blocking Canada from delivering the resources our allies need? Our own Liberal government's laws. Mark Carney is using back room deals to seize a costly majority that voters rejected, which will enable Liberals to balloon debt, inflate the cost of living, block resources and turn criminals loose on our streets. Conservatives will do what we promised voters: fight for a Canada that is affordable, safe and strong at home and unbreakable abroad.

The belly of this ship holds $250 million of LNG. It should be Canadian. When I unblock our resources, it will be Canadian.
